Comet Records is an independent record company based in La Spezia, Italy. Founded
by true music business veterans and vinyl estimators in 1998, Comet has rapidly
become one of today's reissue leaders.
The widely acclaimed Akarma rock label sports now more than 300 titles on
the international markets, great albums from rare or out-of-catalog repertoires.
This is the stuff music history was made from: '60s and '70s famed and sought-after
rock productions that dwelled for years on the collectors' market at impossible
prices, have now become available on Akarma and on the other labels by Comet
Records.
The secret of Comet Records's amazing success not only lies in the quality
of the featured titles, but also in the high standard of the mastering and
packaging.
Superb 20-bit digital remastering, virgin 180gms vinyls and accurate transfer
process ensure a spectacular playback sound for both CDs and LPs, while heavy
paper covers (reproduced according to the '60s/'70s standards) and smart digipacks
have set a new record in stylish packaging for Cds and LPs.
Many albums and CDs come in double, triple and even four-section gatefold-cover
packagings. Also available for our CDs is the new Carton Book, a much richer
version of the digipack, while our splendid box sets have received rave reviews
on all the major specialized magazines and fanzines.
Comet Records is a well tuned 8 people team working in a 600 sq.-mt. building.
With expertise and passion, our work is dedicated to a research and licensing
program that may bring great titles and superb recordings to the audience who,
in return, have become fond of this label since its very first beginnings.
Comet is proud to pay back their trust and support with top quality products.
The worldwide acclaimed Comet Records catalog now includes 4 labels:
AKARMA: classical and unreleased Rock, Folk and Blues titles
HORIZONS: new Rock-Blues recordings and productions
UNIVERSE: Jazz, Blues and Rhythm 'n' Blues unreleased and reissues
